NEW! 9/1/11: Currently, ITV is spearheading a film company in Mumbai and plans to produce five feature films for the Hindi diaspora with cross-over potential. Yaduabara das (John Griesser) and Janardradhi das (Pierre Assouline) have united with Nrsimhananda das (David Shapiro) at ITV to produce numerous Krishna conscious feature films in the next few years. Yadubara das and Vishaka have helmed Iskcon Cinema, formed under Srila Prabhupada's guidance, in 1973 and have produced numerous Krishna conscious documentaries and featurettes over the past four decades. Janardradhi translated the Bhagavad-gita in French, opened two Govinda's restaurants in Paris, and is the producer of numerous films including the award-winning, "Vanaprastha." His company, EastWest Films anchored in Mumbai and Paris has been producing films for nearly twenty years. Nrsimhananda das produced movies for television in Hollywood, established Iskcon Television, Inc., (ITV) in 1979, and has produced and directed many Krishna conscious programs for over 30 years. There is over ninety years of film experience between them. One of Bollywood's most successful writers has already been employed to pen the script on a unique premise that fortunately caught his interest and talent. Ltd., has been registered with the Indian government and is fully operational.
